Definition

1. The infinitives are known as non-finite verbs, meaning they do not have tenses or subjects that they correspond to.  Instead, infinitives function as nouns, adjectives and adverbs.

2. They may occur with or without the particle “to”. Therefore, they take the form “to do” or “do”.
