Language points 

1. I’ll walk to school for the first time tomorrow. 明天我将第一次步行去上学。

walk to school意为“步行去上学”,相当于go to school on foot。walk、ride、drive等动词本身就表示某种交通方式，后接地点名词时用介词to连接。

【归纳】交通方式的表达

（1）用介词表达： by 交通工具名词

in/on 限定词 交通工具名词

（2）用动词表达：take a/the 交通工具名词

walk/ride/fly/drive to 地点

2. I went running in the park to get fit… 为了变得强壮我去公园里跑步……

go running意为“去跑步”，是由“go 动词-ing形式”构成的短语，表示“去做……”，多用于体育活动和业余活动。

 My father often goes running at the weekend. 周末我父亲经常去跑步。

practise此处用作不及物动词，意为“练习；训练”；practise也可作及物动词，常见用法如下：

Linda practises dancing every week. 琳达每周都练习跳舞。

Grammar

现在完成时之for与since

for与since都能与现在完成时连用，但存在区别：

1. for “时间段”

He has studied at this school for five years.

2. since “时间点”

He has studied at this school since 2014.

3. 二者可以转换 

for 一段时间 = since 一段时间 ago

He has been here for five weeks.

= He has been here since five weeks ago.
