一、how much的用法

(1)How much is/are…？……多少钱？

这是购物时询问商品价格的一个常用句型。相当于What’s the price of…？

a)How much is＋可数名词单数/不可数名词？回答用It’s….

b)How much are＋可数名词复数？回答用They are….eg：

—How much is the book？这本书多少钱？

—It’s 10 yuan.10元钱。

—How much are the trousers？这条裤子多少钱？

—They are 20 dollars.20美元。

(2)how much引导询问数量的特殊疑问句时，意为“多少”，其结构为：How much＋不可数名词＋一般疑问句？eg：

—How much water do you need？你需要多少水？

—A little.一点儿。

… … …

二、基数词

基数词表示数目或数量的多少。

1．基数词的表达法；

①one到twelve，拼写和读音没有什么相似之处，无规律可言，应逐一进行记忆。

②thirteen到nineteen，表示“十几”，在个位数后加后缀­teen，读作/tiːn/。其中要注意thirteen，fifteen和eighteen的拼写。

③twenty到ninety，表示“几十”，以­ty结尾，但需注意下面几个词的拼写：twenty，thirty，forty，fifty，eighty。

2．基数词的用法：

①表示年龄，基数词放在years old之前。

eg：He is twelve years old.他十二岁。

②用来表示人或物的数量，放在名词之前。

eg：I have three balls.我有三个球。

③表示顺序、编号等，放在名词之后。

eg：I’m in Class Four.我在四班。

… … …
