Language points

1.I like to spend time there on weekends.  

spend 指花费时间、金钱等，主语为人，用法为：

1. sb. spend(s) 时间/金钱 on sth.   

2. sb. spend(s) 时间/金钱 (in) doing sth. 

take 主要指花费时间，主语通常是形式主语it，用法为It takes sb. 时间 to do sth.

2. I love to watch the monkeys climbing around.

watch sb./sth. doing sth.  看某人/某物在做某事

3. It is very quiet and I enjoy reading there.  

enjoy作动词，常见用法有： 

(1)enjoy sth. 享受某物（的乐趣）

e.g. I really enjoyed the weekend. 我很享受这个周末。

(2) enjoy doing sth. 喜欢做某事

e.g. I enjoy listening to soft music. 我喜欢听轻柔的音乐。

(3) enjoy oneself 过得高兴，玩得愉快

e.g. Family members always get together to enjoy themselves on

4. Take a walk through the park. 

take a walk 意为“散步”。 

(1) walk在英语中有两种词性

作名词：take a walk / go for a walk 散步；

作动词：walk to school 走路上学。

(2) across/through/over这三个词都有“穿过，通过”的意思

across着重从某物的表面“横过，穿过，从一边到另一边”；

through强调从空间内的一头纵穿到另一头，意思是“穿过，

从……中通过”；

over多指从物体上空通过。
